Introduction:
First appearing the original Kingdom Hearts, the story of Halloween Town deviated from its source material, the cult hit "Tim Burton's: The Nightmare Before Christmas". Jack defeated Oogie Boogie, but without any mention of the Christmas part of the story.
So in Kingdom Hearts 2, this is corrected as Halloween Town returns and follows the original storyline much more closely.
Summary:
When the trio return to Halloween Town, they find Jack, the Pumpkin King, is obsessed with the Christmas season after a visit to Christmas Town. He plans on throwing his on Christmas this year in the surreal world of Halloween Town and wants "Sandy Claws" approval.
But, Heartless show up and threaten the celebration of Christmas and Halloween. Sora & Co. volunteer to become the protectors of the season and help Sandy Claws, but Lock, Shock, and Barrel run amok and don't make it easy. Sora, Donald, Goofy and Jack follow the mischievous children to the Curly Hill, where Maleficent revives Oogie Boogie so can he can take revenge on the group, destroy Christmas Town, and turn Santa into a Heartless!
Later in the game, Sora & Co. return to the world to find Jack is picking up presents that seem to be going missing from Christmas Town. When they return them to Santa, Santa tells that there is a thief going around stealing Christmas presents. Working together with Doctor Finkelstein, the gang come up for a way to stop the thief in his tracks. Who is behind the thievery? Is someone else also aiming to ruin Christmas for the folk of Halloween Town?
