The reason I'm asking this question is that I decided to spend the time doing odd jobs to improve my reaction time and ended up with more munny than I needed (if I remember right, I had 1400 munny) and when I met up with the gang, we had a total of 5000 munny.

Obviously, if you're on your own as Roxas ended up collecting more than 5K worth of munny, your total would be different, but how much munny did you all collect and what was your group's total in the end?

Was it still 5K or was it different?

I got 150 becuase it doesn't matter how much you get... you end up with 5000 anyway and spend it one the tickets.

The Most You can get was 1850, lol, I got 1630

If you got more than that, that's impossible, because the guide says that's the most you can get. Also, the more you have, the more AP you get for Sora. So if you get 1050, you get 2 AP Points.

I just got 1100 so that I could get the 2 extra AP points no need to get more than that since it will always be 5000 no matter what.

I had just finished one of the jobs, having a grand total of just around 2000, when Roxas suddenly said, "I have enough munny now." yes when you earn the maximum amount you need, the cutscene automatically kicks in. Meaning you can't make more. (until later of course)
