Actually, pefore people were told how to pronounce everyone assumed it was Nah-mean But the american version put in the accent mark so I pronounced it how I did before just with an ay (wakkawa it goes the other way é)

and you're the only person I've heard of to pronounce it like that...>.> I've heard of some weird ones for the org members though like

Mar-ru-zia
and Zeh-zi-on

Nah-me-neh

I wasn't sure how Larxene was pronounced when I first played CoM, or rather, I wasn't sure whether or not to pronounce the 'ne' at the end. tongue.gif

Ah, the name game. I have the tendency to pronounce names in a spanish pronounciation due to my language differences, so the pronounciation I began with was some what close.

"Na-me-ne" was the way I would pronounce before the name "Na-me-ney" Kingdom Hearts 2 came along. The accent would have helped before if it was visible in the english version of Chain of Memories. The rest of the organization names were pronounced in a english name since the "x" throws me off in Spanish.

I said it Na-min-eh, but the "a", I would pronounce it like the a in can.

You need your eyes checked, because the mark's in the english version.

I'm Dutch. I mostly speak names when I read then in Dutch.

It's hard to tell, kinda like: Na-mie-ne

I also say it that way, because I don't really like to talk English to my friends in real life.
And yeah, someone's probably coming up with something like: "Those names aren't English"

That's not the fricking point here, the point is that I just prenounce the name in Dutch language.

Well I take French in school and there is the accent aigu that makes the long a sound, so I was right. Naw-minn-nay!

I'm used to romanized names as well. Considering a lot of the original characters from KH are Japanese, it was obvious how to pronounce it for me.

And by the way, if you want to know how to REALLY pronounce Namine's name correctly...

DiZ/Ansem the Wise is the only one who pronounces it correctly. Everyone else fails. Including Riku(Ansem-face) in that video. All the characters pronounce her name more like "Nah-muh-nay" with emphasis on the middle syllable, while the emphasis should really be on the first and third, with "ni" sort of clipped.

In CoM I thought it was pronounced Na-meen. Sounds soo much better how it's meant to be pronounced! Nameen sounds stupid thinking about it... tongue.gif
