Alright, I don't see a topic anywhere on this and since Critical Mode in KH2 FM sounds serious, I need to know if the Sword, Shield and Wand make any difference in KH2?
I know if you do Wand, discard sword, you get even stats in KH1, so does the same idea imply with this version or is it just +1 to each of whichever stat you choose?
What would you choose for Critical Mode?

No it dosent really matter. Everything will be made harder once you get EXP 0.

For Critical mode, I think the Shield would be the best option. I mean... If you die easily (that is, defense is not as good as it should), then it doesn't really matter if you have good strenght or other things.
I'm not exactly sure how much it affects Sora, but you'd think it has some kind of effect on at least what attributes improve and on the pace of improvement. That is, if you pick Shield then of course you'd think defense will be Sora's best quality and it would get better more often than strength & intelligence (like: every second level up improves Sora's defense and every other either strenght or intelligence). KHII differs from the first one in that you don't choose anything that you'd give up on. In the first one, imo, the best option was to pick up the Shield & give up the Wand.

It does make a difference because it gives you abilities at different levels. e.g. You learn a ability at level at lvl 17 if you pick the sword but if you pick the shield you get it at lvl 99

I feel like specializing in sword, which is strength is always teh best choice in KH2, since its the only thing that actually does damage. Magic is (near) worthless, and i get enough health and defense with the sword to stay alive long enoguh to beat the enemy.
