Just made some, but I'm just freezing it in a bowl, I don't have any popsicle sticks or any fancy popsicle makers. sad.gif

I tasted it before I put it in the freezer and it was awesome. I must've put the right amount of sea salt in it, because it was the perfect marriage of salty and sweet flavor. I didn't have any food coloring though, so it's a plain off-white color.

How much salt did you put in? Like half a teaspoon?

I actually didn't measure, but I'd guess around 2-2.5 teaspoons. I just gradually put salt in and tasted it after every salting.

The salt goes in last so it doesn't really matter how much you add. Just put it in little by little until you like the taste(yes, you can actually taste it before its frozen...its not that hard to understand)

I really want to make this now but I don't have any popsicle-style molds and eating it like regular ice cream is no fun.

When it says "heavy whipping cream", is that the same as Cool Whip? I plan on trying this recipe when I get a chance to get the ingredients, and I wanna make sure I get the right stuff.

Whipping cream and whipped cream are different. Whipping cream still needs to be whipped to gain that almost foamy consistency whereas whipped cream is...already like that. Never fear though, whipping cream isn't THAT hard to find at a regular grocery store.

Let me get this straight-it's "seasalt" and not just any old salt? How do you get seasalt?

I got mine at a Super Wal*mart store. It's pretty easy to find at most grocery stores too.

I finally got the chance to make the recipe! It came out okay, considering my lack of cooking skills. I think I might have added just a tad too much salt though. I used 1 tsp, and the ice cream is borderline too salty. I might cut it down to just 3/4 tsp next time... I also forgot to stir it when I froze it, so it came out frozen solid o.o; Still, it was pretty good!

I'd put up pics, but I didn't make it in the popcicle form, or even blue for that matter o.o; I plan on getting that stuff before I try it again.

I've made this, and it truly is..interesting = )
The taste turned out fantastic, but my "proto-type" had minor flaws that were fixed in the recreation.
(first-made one is rectangular, like it's KH2 shape)

It was the best thing ever.

Does anybody know the names of the ingredients in Dutch?

It's not that I don't know English, but I want to be sure when I try this, and some things are completely different when translated directly.
