This is ticking me off. I'm playin Fm+ on proud mode...i'm in the underworld/coliseum right now.

i have abilities equipped, i have stuff on that makes everything go up 20% (dont know if its resistance or armor cause i cant read japanese), and the best defense keyblade (the mulan one)...

and heartless are still owning me in like 3 or 4 hits. 1 hit brings my life a little less than half way down. it makes me so mad. i dont EVER remember proud on the english version being this hard. ive never beaten english proud, but still...

also, i dont run past the heartless or whatever. i fight them a lot to train to get my level up, and its not helping.

i'll be walking around and my hp WONT be beeping, you know, the thing that indicates your about to die. it WONT be beeping, it will be normal...and 2 seconds later im dead...because i get hit so good it just kills me.

is it this hard for you? i chose the strength struggle bat, for the awakening i chose the shield. so yeah...i should be fine since its on proud...and at the title screen for the game i know i chose proud cause it was the 3rd option.

so can someone tell me whats wrong? how am i dying so easily? am i doing something wrong.

NO, i do not suck at the game. im actually pretty good. (not amazing but i was pretty good on english proud mode)

Edit: Wait, am i supposed to do beasts castle before coliseum? cause i went from mulan to coliseum...is that why its so hard?

Its a good idea to do the beast's castle first.... you'll gain some levels, and its not as hard, or it shouldn't be.

I think they really cranked up the difficulty for FM, because even on proud in the US version, it was really easy.

ok thanks, i kept thinking and then it hit me, beasts castle is already an option to go to. the coliseum unlocked after i beat land of dragons, hah. and yeah, proud really was easy in the us version.

Yah. It helps to play the game in order. You learn Cure by locking Beast's Castle, remember? Plus, you get a better keyblade from there. And if you're equipping stuff that raises based on percentage, then it's up defense against elemental magic and not your general defense points.

If you've got the money, start buying better weapons for Goofy and Donald.

Which Heartless are you having trouble with? From what I remember, the Underworld Heartless are wimps (rxn command em) with the exception of Large Bodies (which is still not difficult).

as for the heartless, i dont remember, they look kind of like knights. they have swords and stuff...theyre a little shorter than sora. theyre also silver and really skinny. you fight them on that trail in the underworld with auron when you have to run away from hades and fight heartless along the way.

I kinda guessed it might be those bast****. If you're not up to par, they can do damage with multiple hits. I find that some Lightning takes off the stress if you're surrounded. And these guys have rxn command too.

I actually played through the first 5 worlds before realizing I had the "no EXP" ability equipped. It wasn't...THAT hard.

what it comes down to is strategy. i mean it can be on whatever difficulty, but it's down to strategy. use magic and abilities to advantage. know when to retreat, or use limits and have a potion in the shortcut.

Very true, doodypoo. It may be a button-smashing game but it doesn't give you an excuse to go headfirst into battle wearing out that X button.

well,proud mode is the highest difficulty in kingdom heart 2.the enemy is stronger than before.
