In Traverse Town, did any one beside me belive she knew a bit too much? Was this a trick by the Organization, or for something else....

Aerith is a pretty passive character, you've gotta give her something to do. It's that or just have her standing pretty. If you're familiar with FFVII, you'd know that Aerith, being what she is, is naturally insightful, observant and is quite a deep thinker. I doubt that the Organization is capable of altering the people inside Sora's memories in the style you're thinking of.

True... Also, she seemed to know a lot in KHI as well... Maybe it's just rubbed off on her.

In KHI she knew because she hung around Leon, who was investigating the heartless, due to the destruction of his homeland(aka Hollow Bastion). I understood it then. But in CoM, Aerith and Sora have that conversation at the end of the Traverse Town level, and Donald and Goofy didn't see it. I seems like a trick to me.

Don't forget, Sora's exploring his memories which have been twisted by Namine... So that might just be a reason. Other than that, didn't Donald and Goofy walk off the screen at that part? huh.gif

I think they did that because Aerith had such a minor role in KH1 that it was almost an understudy role. Aeirth fans were probably asking for something more.

You mean where Aerith says, "Beware of your memories. Don't let illusions distract you from what's really important." that part?

Sora and the others were having conversations about memories and such, so it didn't just come outta nowhere. It was a warning based on what Aerith feels is happening.
Aerith has sixth sense about these things. Even though she's Sora's memory, it seems like all the characters who are part of his memory are able to act independently. It's comparable to the inhabitants of data Twilight Town, who are based on existing personalities yet perform actions that are not predetermined.

Hmm...Never thought of it that way...but in Twilight Town, while they all did have individual personalities, Ansem would still do little things to make sure Roxas was kept from knowing the truth.

Such as stop time. But that didn't affect those people's personalities. I mean, no matter what happened, I bet Olette, Hayner and Pence would have wanted to go to the beach with Roxas. DiZ altered events so they would decide for themselves that they couldn't go to the beach-DiZ cannot control their decisions.

It's the same situation in CoM. Sora is hopping around the rooms and those rooms are taking the form of his memories, so when he leaves a world, he's back in the white rooms.

Leon knew alot of information, as well. So it couldn't have been a coincidence that Aerith knew too much; Leon could've passed on the knowledge about all the events that took place in the KH games.

Yea, he's a big mouth, that Leon. lol.
Good for him. In KH, that makes Leon a rather useful guy.

Well, Sora's memories are his. If he saw Aerith as "insightful and knowledgable," then she would be in his memories. Just like if he remembered Alice as "curious, but sweet" and Maleficent as an "evil, sadistic witch," then that's what they'd be. The situation is irrelevant, it's the personality that matters.

Namine was in Sora's memories at the time right? Well maybe that was a warning from her to him because she did feel bad of what she was doing. That or Aerith is some type of sage. (which she is...an ancient in FFVII)

I kinda thought that perhaps it was Aerith's heart interacting with Sora's, because it seemed that Donald and Goofy were at the scene, just not visible on the screen. Wouldn't an interaction on that level only be visible to Sora, since she was interacting with his heart, not Donald or Goofy's?

Aerith was always insightful anyway, and the FFVII role does help it make sense... =\

Yeah, it is sorta weird. But I geuss it was put in for story reasons?
Maybe even to fill the player in with basic KH details. For those who only played KH CoM

Yes I played Final fantasy VII, but in the KH world I don't think the tale of Ancients and Jenova, really exist. Cloud hunts Sephiroth becuase of his past, but in the game they make it because that Sephiroth is Cloud's darkness not because of Aerith's death and a lot of other things....
P.S. it was always supposed to be Aerith. Aeris was a translation error.

Well, i guess you can pick and choose what you want to believe. While yes, seph was supposed to be cloud's darkness, its also a lingering of his memories from the real sephy. which means aeris would still be an ancient, and thus explaining. correct me if im wrong on this.
P.S. dont really care.

I never caught on with the Sephy being Cloud's darkness bit in KH. It was never explained properly-not like they needed to, it was canon.

it was a sidequest but I'm pretty sure in KH final mix some light was shed on it.

Yeah as I remember, in Final Mix, cloud fought against Sephiroth after you defeated him.

I saw that on youtube. They didn't really do much, though. Fighting, and more open-ended talk about the darkness.

Yeah, Aerith always seemed to be a very deep thinker in FFVII and I'm glad they didn't alter her personality in any of the KH's.
