Yeah, Aerith always seemed to be a very deep thinker in FFVII and I'm glad they didn't alter her personality in any of the KH's.

It's not just Aerith, they didn't alter anyone's personalities from the FF games. But gosh, do I wish that they kept KH1's VA for Aerith.

My question is.

She was Sora's memory yes?

and yet she told Sora thing's he didn't know.

Also, I don't think my mind would be able to cope if i knew i didn't exist like she did

Yes...that's very hard to wrap my mind around, too. It's like, since they're memories, they should be saying everything and doing everything they had already done once.

But, (yes, there is a but) because they are Sora's memories, they act as Sora would expect them to act, and since it's Aerith's nature to be in tune with the world, that is the type of Aerith who'll show up in Sora's memories. Notice that Aerith never told Sora exactly what was going on, she would speak kind of in incomplete, vague context, so it could also easily be Sora contemplating things at an unconscious level, manifested as Aerith in memory because that's exactly the things she would say, given if she was really there.

I think we are going into the workings of the mind now. blink.gif

But yeah, I agree, Although I guess Sora would be a special case.

And her speech was incomplete.

basically in the memory illusion

Aerith would act based on the memories of Aerith viewed from Sora's point of view.

This would raise the question would she only act the way Sora views her or do memories themselves gain a sense of self and act on their own and think on their own? And by doing so do they continue based on the memories of the person their inside? Or do they deviate knowing they are memories and entirely on their own? or do they continue act in such a way without knowing they are memories?

inspiration for another story idea people... i'm going in...

That's...really hard to answer. It's anyone's guess. Goes back to what I wondered about Pence, Hayner and Olette too, who, in alternate Twilight Town, are only data projections, yet they think about homework, they react to Roxas's actions, and they did attempt to get to the beach, despite DiZ's wishes. So you can ask the same type of questions about those guys and whether they truly have a sense of self or not.

Yeah, I never got that. If they were never truely real.

How could they have reacted to the situations. I never really thought about DiZ controlling them though, But it's a valid point. Why couldn't he just make them be boring and not explore. Or just say that people kidnapping words is completely normal

DiZ "designed" Hayner, Pence and Olette, as well as other inhabitants of Twilight Town by studying the hearts of the real inhabitants. So...the projections and their real selves could be linked.

Aerith is also a projection from Sora's memory, thus, she could be linked to Aerith in real life in a similar way.

i think since he was a scientist he wanted to make it seem the illusion was real to Roxas. his pride as a scientist would be at stake if he were to make up rules on the spot for such situations i guess. other than that he said he made exact copies of their hearts, so their will and their characteristics carried on as well. but i guess there no real answer accept, the heart is unpredicatable
