hey ho

so I`ll tell you s short story about mine:

I´ve beaten KH2 Final MiX , defeated the ES etc. etc. [sig.] .
I needed a new game , so i bought dragon quest VIII a week after the last time I played FM. I tried to play it - and it didnt worked. i was confused , as the disc was brand new with nothing on it - I tried it again and again - nothing happened.
I tried all the other game that I have ( 16 ) and two DVD three times to play ( would be 54 times ) and not a even a single disc was read - not even the laser cleaner dis - which usally always worked.
now for one week - i have a new game ( DQ8) but i can not play it.
why is my PS2 dont read discs anymore?
my dad said:
-as i returned the front cover of my PS2 Disc engine , to be able to use swap magic 3 - he told me that my PS2 would be full with dust in it. ( probably not - i opened up my ps2 , and cleaned up everything - also the laser ).
-a friend of mine , who is really skilled in computer etc, and things like that - that the japanese disc itself ( not the fact that you swap discs does damage to the laser , .as japanese games have other codes (or anything like this - can not remmber very well ) than europe games
- the last option ist: my PS2 is 6 years old .... mybe its time for her to go -.-

now i am getting a new ps2 and i dont know if i should go on playing final mix - or if my new ps2 is going to be destroyed also -.-

Put your game disc in, then turn your PS2 to stand vertically, and if that doesn't do it, turn it upside-side.

Final Mix does no damage to PS2, ever. But a 6 year old model means you have the very first crappy model, like me. But turning it on it's side works for me.

awesome - never got to that idea.

im gonna try it later. but what sense makes it that you turn your ps2 ? does that mean the laser is an other position or whatever ?

anyway - im gonna try it.

Don't mod your PS2 unless it's using swapmagic.

sary for the off topic but what is that picture of seffy from. sary again for the off topic.

back on. Its probably just your PS2 if it is the first ones you probably killed it when you opened it up. can it still play KHFM+ if it can just keep it to play that game and use the new one for other games.

My previous PS2, which I had for 4 years, busted when I played GTA: San Andreas. Although it could be because my PS2 just got old, I prefer blaming an unstable american made game. I don't know but in my mind I cannot just see the same thing happening with a japanese rpg.

I've had my PS2 since the first week it came out, and I've clocked perhaps thousands of hours on it.

It still works fine. And I doubt the games I've played have anything to do with it, it's how you treat your console.

Luckily, my PS2 is in a position where it won't fall down if I pull hard on it.
