At the very end of the game Sora and friends get a message in a bottle from mickey. What do you guys think it says. IT drives me nuts.

Why on Earth would they do that? An entire game could be built on that letter's contents alone.

The letter was either Micky just saying hi, or Micky asking for help. It was to leave the option of KH3 open.

It's probably The King telling Sora to come to the castle for training because I don't think Sora can be the best he can be yet. There's probably more enemies too, I mean sure Sora took care of the Nobodies but what of their Heartless? Xemnas had a heartless too so there has to be more out there like him.

I bet the King might want to tell Sora the details on the keyblade too?

What if the letter was a lead-in to the Coded game? What if it was just a note saying, "Come and fix my computer!"?

Squall/Cloud would give better training than any of the residents of mickey's castle would give. Plus, Sora had pretty good self training across the multiple worlds.

Its like ending the first game with Sora just traveling on a road. Its something to leave an opening for the next game in the series.

Yep, Vaerli is right. It's just an opening to KH3.

What exactly does it say? We have no idea. But probably something along the lines of....

" Dear Sora,

Please come to the castle immediately. I have baked a cake for you.

Sincerely,
Micky "

[psssttt, don't go, it's a trap!]

It's probably just my opinion, but I think that the letter won't really have much to do with the story of Kingdom Hearts III. It might, but I don't think it will. I think that little scene was just Square Enix saying "This is not Sora's last adventure" type of thing, not necessarily "This is the start of Kingdom Hearts III".

Sqeenix will keep the KH canon to the game series. They won't go over into any other medium, unless someone over there got some crack or something strange. On that tangent, it will have to be the start of KH3 unless they made KH3 a prequel or something like that, but prequels are usually named more like 358/2 days, or BBS.

The most obvious answer is that it will be revealed in the next game.

And it'll probably be something realted to a new incarnation of Xehanort.

"Dear Sora

Xehanort resurfaced in yet another form, please come to Disney Castle and bring your Keyblade.

Sincerely
Mickey Mouse

P.S. If you have the time bring me some ice cream."

I say it'll have something to do with what Mickey experienced in Coded, then worldly issues or some other convenient plot device (...which the letter pretty much is) that'll give them the call for adventure. ...with cheese, only not as simple as having some old adversary arise from who knows where - I'd be damned if it does.

I think this is something to that effect of leaving the plot open, however I do agree with you. How they left the ending open for the first game left you with a feeling that's on a lighter tone than the one 2 did.

I almost want to say the note won't have much mention in the 3rd. It may just be a hook to show that KH 2 isn't the end of the series... or may just be there evil way of making you THINK that is going to happen (KH3) huh.gif

That would be depressing wacko.gif

My opinion? This:

"Dear Sora

Tag your it!

Sincerely
Mickey Mouse"

i know what the letter says, but not exactly. the letter contains mickeys words explaining the situation of the coded game, that i know. but what else it would say i dont know, maybe he is going to do the same test as terra and aqua with riku, notice how in the birth by sleep secret ending, it show the same scenario only when sora is deciding to follow what the letter says, thus leading to kingdom hearts 3d then to kingdom hearts 3.

hoped this answer the question.

Yes, it's a prelude for KH3D. Considering thing's timewise, KH3D takes place immediately after KH2 (whereas none of the other games have, all of them have started before KH2 at least).

This thread is so old, it's kinda nice to read back on all the theories.

Good times not knowing anything, remember when "BHK", Dual Weilding Unknown and Glowing-Eye Unknown were three different people?

Anyway...

The end of Re: Coded says exactly what Mickey writes, and also takes place after KHII.

Also, notice how my reply from 3 years ago isn't as wrong as one would expect.

Geez, that takes me back. The crazy (and sometimes spot on) theories fans had about "BHK."
Great times. The contents of Mickey's letter were basically known before it was confirmed in Coded. I don't know when though. Coded is about the only KH game I haven't played, so when someone told me what was on it, I just remember saying "Yeah, we already knew that." Well, knew that in a nutshell at least.

Yeah, RE:Coded is the ONLY game that you shouldn't play from the KH series. It's basically a Re-hash of all the original world in KH and KH Chains of Memories. The only thing interesting about it is the secret messages and videos contained in the diary.
