@Cixer: Regarding the lip-syncing: I don't think they did much, if anything, to the movement of their lips from the Japanese version. I'm a bit confused, really. They redid all of the speech but I guess they decided not to go the extra mile and tweak their lip movement to match it. D:

Which is confusing, since they decided to do it for all of the other KH games already. Hell, even the original CoM had the characters mouths moving in sync to each word. It's really annoying to have wasted such well-made graphics and not bothered to make the mouths match the words.

Especially when you decide not to read the subtitles and just watch the scene itself. I remember one instance when DiZ had his mouth matching almost perfectly with the words, and I thought they were getting better, but that was just a coincidence. Ansem was the worst. Besides his poorly-done face (which stood out, since everyone else's faces were really well done), his mouth never matched what he was saying. Never. D:

I really liked it until surprisingly riku's story... he was way over-rated and his cards suck also the worlds are extremely shortened

i love the game, and i enjoy being able to hear some of the organization members for the first time.... dry.gif but Larxene's voice is so whiny and irritating. i had conflicting emotions with her... i wanted to watch the cut scenes, but i wanted to kill her before she could say another word happy.gif

I got it for Christmas, and it was tough going to get myself playing again. I'd already played the GBA version, so I knew the storyline, so I basically just wanted to get through Sora's half and get to Reverse/Rebirth and play as Riku tongue.gif Towards the last few levels though, Sora's gameplay got fun when I learned the cooler-looking and powerful sleights. Still, most of the bosses died via the "Sonic Blade them to death" method (including Marluxia, once I got to the second half of his fight).

I'm playing Riku's story now, and while his half isn't as involved as Sora's, it's still interesting. Since you can't customize your deck, and healing isn't as easy, his half presents unique challenges in its own way. Plus, of course, you get Riku's storyline, which interests me a bit more than Sora's. I'm also looking forward to fighting Zexion this time, and his book of doom tongue.gif

In Reverse Rebirth, Zexion and Ansem are definitely the hardest bosses. Once Zexion takes your cards, it's really difficult to do anything to get them back. He's more of a "slow, painful death" boss.

Ansem is freaking annoying, with those damn discs that his hunchback heartless throws. Once you get caught in them, you can't get out, and they do enough damage to kill you if you don't have a full health bar.

Otherwise, Riku's bosses were easy. For Sora, Cptn. Hook, Vexen and Larxene are the hardest. Captain Hook was difficult in the GBA version, and he's no easier here. Vexen has the ablility to block, so if you unleash a stocked combo, he can block all three, effectively wasting the cards. His ability to block is the only real problem, though. With Larxene, her speed is the problem. Her attacks are strong, and if you can't break her cards, you'll be killed fairly quickly.

I got Re: CoM when it first came out.<3
I haven't gotten far, though, haven't been playing. DX
UH.
I beat Hades which took some hell of a time. The key is dodge rolling~
I beat Jafar in Agrabah.
So I am in Wonderland, kind of annoying. :/

I'm at the midway point of Sora's story right now (after the first set of world cards). I really enjoy it more than the GBA--just because I hate bending over a game system to play. I don't really think Larxene's voice is the best though. And it took me a while to get used to Osment's older voice with Sora's younger body.

Overall, I think this version feels easier so far. Or maybe it's because I only played the GBA version a few months ago and I've got used to the battle system. It gives me somewhat of a challenge at least.

OMG Sora's older voice in younger Sora? I never got used to that at all it was just down right creepy to me. I'ts like some how some way in the 2 secs that you switch from KH1 to KH RE:CoM Sora's voice and NOBODY but the player noticed...

I love how now I barely half to use zero cards to break enemy cards unless really needed. The dodge rolling does the trick for me lol ESPECIALLY against Hades and Cloud. I only spammed zero cards during the last boss of Sora's story. That one move he had that made you lost your cards was a killer I wasn't expecting him to have such a beast move when I first played him. So I got wrecked that time XD.

Unfortunately I am one of the thousands of Europeans who can't get this =d
Looks like I'll just have to see if they release in UK, or get some sorta system that allows me to play NA games

Wait, you can't play games from America? But it's the same language as in the UK......

Anyway, I got it for Christmas. It was pretty good.

the playstation is different format, like US has NTSC, i don't know what europe is, but its for the same reason that we can't play final mix without modifying the ps2 with a mod chip or slide magic

i got this for christmas, i know i am a little late in posting... i love the game, dark mode isn't as good as it was in the GBA version, but card dueling takes its place. Also, i love the new cards, i have all the org. cards already and i need one more keyblade card, its a kh2 card...
to bad theres no secret trailers at the end for completing the journal

Isn't America's thingy NTSC or something? Europe's is PAL, so we can only play it with a Swap Magic or something

it depends on what method u want to use. if ur willing to pay money, just buy a foreign ps2 (unlikely). if u want a cheap option, u can use a mod chip (which destroys any warranty your ps2 has and may damage the console). if you want a safe and medium cost option, swap magic. With swap magic, if you have a thick ps2 then you need a slide card and the swap magic disks (aprroximately $29.99 in USA dollars). If you have a slime ps2, then you need a fliptop and the swap magic disks (approximately $39.99 in USA dollars) Swap magic is the safer than mod chips, and its legal, and its cheaper than a foreign ps2, so its really the best option. i would get it, except that im not allowed to buy abroad, so it would be pointless if i can't import, unless i play bootleg games or backups

Ok, I've seen the slide card, but i'm scared that it'll damage my Playstation, how can shoving a piece of plastic and moving it around help? Is there any other software I can use other than Swap Magic?

slide card is safest, the only real problem with it is that it destroys the warranty sticker if your warranty is still in effect modchips are riskier, they have a better potential to damage the ps2 (plus its illegal) i have a slim ps2 so i can just use a flip top and swap magic, but if u have a thick ps2 and ur worried about the slide card, then you might consider dropping $129.99 USD on a US ps2, or $69.99 USD on a japanese ps2

I know this is off topic from what "Marluxia" and "Wisdom" are talking about, but I got the game a couple months ago and I am on the 12 floor. I just left the islands and I have to fight Replica Riku, but I am having a really hard time with it. Any hints?

Have at least two or three 0 cards to break his most devasting attacks. You have no idea how they can save you when confronted with a boss that can instantly kill you in a couple of hits.

I never said anything about how much better the plot plays out in this version and they clear
up a key question I had about the black robes. I also felt more sorry for Riku's Replica in this
version.

Yes, I like it. It does seem to be more of an emotion-based game than the first one. Putting msyelf in Sora's shoes, I would be flying over the edge with my emotions. Losing your memory and being tricked into believing other memories that people make up for you...it seems more personally dark. I like getting to know some of the Organization members, even if the five of them all die anyway. Vexen's ability to make clones and his creation, the replica Riku or Valet, is rather fascinating. Jiminy has a more active role; that's good too. Overall the details of this game carry little weight in the must-know storyline. You could skip Chain of Memories altogether, just as long as you know that Sora was put to sleep by Namine. However, the main reason I like the game is I got to know Axel better. He is my favorite character, besides Sora.
