Possible US release? A theory

OK, don't flame me for posting this but i just thought I put this out there; since Re:Chain of Memories was released in the US, does anyone else think that they might release a US version of KH2 Final Mix+? I was thinking how Re:CoM was exclusive to Japanese gamers when they bought KH2FM+, and that usually remixes don't sell English versions, then since they release the game here, that there might be a possibility that Square would release an English FM+. It would make sense financially for Square since the game shipped over 1 million world-wide, that to release an English version would help rake in even more money.
Of course this is what I think. If anyone else thinks so or disagrees then let me know.

Well if Square was planning on relasing FM+, I think they would've announced it before ReCoM. It's only a thought, so don't take my words to heart.

Now that ReCoM actually came for us, you give a valid point. But looking at it more critically, there is now an even smaller chance that FM+ would grace Western shores. If it was meant to come, it would've came already, along with CoM, like the Japanese have got. But to release the two separately? I don't think so. Although ReCoM is the glorified version of its GBA sibling, it is still significantly different enough to warrant a game on its own. There's a big chance that a lot of current KH fans have never played CoM-evident by the number of new members KHU garners each day. In fact, CoM is not easy to find anymore (used copies sell out in one day from my experience, and it only comes in once every 3 months), so that there is a large proportion of KH fans who haven't been exposed to CoM.
Yet, most fans would have played KH2. Because if they've played KH, and liked it, they would pick up the cheaply-priced KH2 without another thought (SE was quite brilliant in its KH ending). But how many people who have played KH2 would shell out for basically the same game that's got a few bonuses? And who can argue that it's anything but a few bonuses? All of which are attainable mostly if you're pretty hardcore (think Mushroom keyblades) and occur near the end of the game (secret enemy, new level).
Besides, 3 brand new games in the series are about to be released in the next year.

You have a point there.
Personally, I wouldn't expect FM to arrive on American shores anytime soon. If it was, I would imagine it would come with Re: CoM, like in Japan. But, it didn't.

I agree. Square would have said something...or maybe their just being stubborn and don't want to release it XD. Seriously though Re:CoM was special because of the reasons Saku mentioned.

And not to mention that Re:CoM was actually confirmed for a US release in... I believe early September?

To answer your question quite simply: Don't count on it.
Like everyone has said, if it were to come it most likely would have came bundled with ReCoM.
The only timeframe I see any FM's coming stateside is after they complete the series and want to milk the last bucks out of us before calling it quits.
