Now, this has been posted (somewhere) in the past but I think it's appropriate bring it back up to commemorate the US release. Now this guide reflects on the Japanese release but surely there should be no problems considering the game hasn't been changed, just translated.

Contents:
Card Info
Enemy Cards
Card locations
(Translated) Script
Sleights

View the guide: HERE

Special Note: To obtain the Kingdom Hearts 2 cards, you must beat BOTH Sora/Riku stories AND Kingdom Hearts 2.

Enjoy.

That was the Japanese version. In ours you just clear Sora and Riku's Stories, then use the Room of Treasures card to get them all.

Erm no, its more than that. To answer your question, Sakuchan, you have to beat both Sora/Riku stories. The game will then read your memory card to see if you beaten KH2 (in Japan, it was KHFM+). You have to go back to Sora's story and use the various methods to get the KH2 keyblade cards and Org members; Room of Rewards AND Calm Bounty. Its all in that guide.

Hope that clear things up.

It does, but I'll have to remember that for when I beat both modes. xD Thanks Karas.

Does this apply to the English version?

Something that I've been meaning to ask about, and I'm sure this is kind of silly, but, is there a certain way that you need to make White Mushrooms drop thier Enemy Cards? Lately I've been going through all of my White Room cards and performing "First Aid" to the White Mushrooms' sharades, but it just seems like no matter how many times I attempt it, they just won't drop thier cards.

Is thier a particular pattern that I need to corrilate in order to get it?

I was lucky enough to get the white mushroom card without synthesizing more than five white rooms total throughout the game (actually, I'm having similar troubles with the black fungus card).

I'm not sure if the soft-reset trick works for the PS2 version or not.

If you want more chances at getting them to drop it, maybe you could go to a place with likely white room map card drops at the end of battle (Atlantica, perhaps?) and make a roulette room there. Keep stopping it at the white room, if there are any white room cards there.

Build up a stock or map cards, preferrably with lots of different values to the cards (0-9, not just the same values), then go to... Castle Oblivion, say, save at the entrance hall, then go into that world and synthesize white rooms like mad, going through them all until you get the enemy card. I don't know if it works or not; like I said, I got lucky with that enemy card; it's the system I'm using to get the black fungus card. Hopefully it's effective...

Oh, and you can just use the "warp" sleight on the mushrooms and finish the battle much quicker.

I hope that's helpful. I don't know of any better system to get these two particularly rare enemy cards. Maybe someone could help us both out...

*looks hopefully at everyone reading this board*

lol, thank you, Karas

Although, this brings up another question (somehow):

If you beat Sora's story and are stupid enough to overwrite it with the Riku File, is Sora's file deleted? If not, is it possible to go back to it?

Actually, I've gone and done some research on this myself.

First of all, yes, Re: Chin of Memories does have the Soft Reset function. So, the whole running around and collecting more White Room cards method isn't necessary. Also, it turns out that playing the "First Aid" game is unneeded to obtain the White Mushroom Enemy Card as well. All that needs to be done is to synthesize a White Room after saving the game and cast Warp on the White Mushrooms. If they fail to drop the card, just Soft Reset and try again and they will eventually drop it.

Funny you mentioned how you got the White Mushroom alright, but is having trouble getting the Black Fungus. Coincidentally, the Black Fungus is one of the very first Enemy Cards I got easy! Just keep on killing them and like with any other Enemy Card, they'll drop it. happy.gif

So the soft reset trick will work, eh? Good to know, thanks for the tip. Are you sure it works for Black Fungi though? I had to ask, because I've been through at least 30 black rooms without a single enemy card drop...

Well if it worked for the White MUshrooms, then of course it will for any other card. Like I said, all I did was just kill them. So, good luck to you on that! wink.gif

Oh! By the way! While we're still on Obtaining Enemy Cards, something I've also been meaning to ask, more out of curiosity than requesting for help, would the Floor Level bear any significance to the drop rate of certain cards?

I wouldn't think so... I didn't notice any difference in drop rates for enemies that are common to several worlds (shadows, soldiers, etc.) when I went to a different floor.

how does it read your memory card to see if you have beaten Kingdom heartsII if you do not save after you actually beat KHII. unlike CoM, u do not create an end of game save. does it read to see if you ahve beaten Xemnas at the tower or something?

a question about a card: where can i get a pluto card? i have a blank in my friend's card list and i have seen the card in videos, but i don't know where to get it

This one stumped me for a while, too.
Keep using sleights until you have one card left and then get really low on HP. Pluto only appears when you're in a desperate situation.

um i was able to get a khii keyblade after marluxia, before i even started riku's game... and i already have several org. members when i am only halfway through riku's story, so no, you do not have to beat reverse/rebirth. i'm not sure if u have to have kh2 data saved though, since i do have data on my memory card i am not sure if it scanned my card though

So, you're able to aqire KHII Cards without Reverse/Rebirth's completed? Interesting. But yeah, I'm pretty sure that is because of your KHII data.

Lately companies that work with Sony Playstation have been practicing this "Memory Data Bonus" system in thier franchises. It's actually kind of cool... happy.gif

does it read ur memory card after the fight with xemnas at the tower? ppl say that it reads after u beat the game, but there is no end-of-game save in kh2 so that doesn't make sense...

I don't know. I haven't completed Sora's Story yet, and I'd like to know about that myself. Because you are right, it is due to After Game Saves is how other games pick up on that completion memory. I'm assuming that what you said is case about defeating Xemnas I. Is that where you are on your KHII file?

You know what, that's probably it. I'm willing to bet that Jiminy's Journal is the data factor that enables the unlockables...

well i always level my hp up more than my cp, at least in sora's game, because to me it does not matter how many cards i have but how well i can survive. however, i would recommend that u put oogie boogie in ur enemy cards and that for your attack cards u use three sets of three cards (nine cards total) with values of nine, eight, or seven, followed by your best three zeros, and then your highest cures. this is a basic deck that is useful against any boss except for ursula and oogie boogie.
