I bought KH:Recom and I liked the game, it is way better than the GBA version but the dialogue in Re:Chain is different in some parts from the original. I give the game play an A because I liked the card based battle system, even though I would prefer the original game play, the card-based battle system has it's positive features too.
I give the voice acting a B because of flaws. Vexen's voice was very annoying and Marluxia's voice was too monotone. I also think that Old Sora's voice on young Sora's body is awkward but comical. Quinten Flynn's voice for a serious Axel was also very strange. Alyson Stoner did a good job with Kairi's voice and Meaghan Jette Martin voiced Namine well although I prefer Brittany Snow(mostly because she's hot). Zexion and Lexaeus had voices that fit perfectly for their personalities. Larxene's voice is different than I imagined, but it was pretty good, the laughs and giggles are still done pretty well in my opinion.

Compared to Japanese Version: I personally like the japanese voices for Vexen and Marluxia better than the English versions. Marluxia was too easy in the American version, even in proud mode.

Compared to the GBA Version: I believe that Re:Com is a good upgrade from the original, but the world map was a little bit strange. The boss fights are now challenging and also less difficult in Re:Chain.

I recommend Re:Chain to every KH fan. The story is worth using the card battle system. If anyone gives up on the game due to the battle system, then don't call yourself a true KH fan.

I agree with you almost completely. Larxene's voice actor does decently well and is best with the laughs/giggles, but she's not quite what I imagined--too much like a prep from highschool. Vexen had to grow on me, because, while the voice kind of fit, it was also a little too "nerdy"-sounding. The only voices I really liked were those of Zexion (! They got the SM guy!), Lexaeus, and Marluxia. And, yeah, Osment's adult voice took a while to get used to, though he definitely does well with Sora.

And, when playing, I also thought some of the script was changed. I don't know for sure if that's true or if I just haven't played the original in a long time, but it felt different from the GBA version for some reason. I agree that the gameplay was a bit easier as well (in some parts). Vexen is the only boss that I felt got harder and Axel (2nd time) was a bit difficult for me. The only other boss I can think of is Trickmaster in Riku's Story--they gave these horribly low cards that are constantly breaking. I had to fight the thing 3 times before I finally worked out a halfway decent strategy. Everyone else was pretty much a breeze. Captain Hook and Hades, in particular, lost a lot of their threat--they always bothered me in the original.

As for the gameplay itself, my feelings aren't any different playing the PS2 version from playing the GBA one. I'm still mixed, because, while I feel that the system definitely forces you to think more strategically, it's also monotonous and time-consuming. Also, the camera makes fighting a little bit harder, because you're always swinging it around to keep an eye out for friend cards and it gets stuck above you.

The only really big thing that bothers me about this game though is that it's impossible to get a 100% Journal unless you have KH2: Final Mix. Bah.

actually you don't need kingdom hearts 2 final mix to complete the journal.

Then why do that have so many holes in the Enemy Cards section (holes that add up, along with the Org members present in CoM, to 13)?

You have to find the cards in the Calm Bounty and Key to Rewards Rooms. Once you beat both Sora and Riku's files.

I've already tried that. The only cards I've found (and I've went to every floor) are Ansem, Lexaeus and Zexion.
