I said no. It's more bad than good.
I can't fight as well using cards. And I don't think the system promotes strategic fighting as well as it was meant to.

I voted for liking it. I know a lot of people hated it, but I thought it brought a more challenging element into the game.

I'm 50 50 with it. It can get competitive at times to beat each other's cards, but the idea forces strategy instead of encouraging it. But, depending the way you set up your deck, you could practically kill the competitive feel. It's an alright idea, but...heh.

i hated it at first, but once i got good at it, it grew on me. i love collecting the cards, mixing up my deck to get different sleights, and strategically blocking my enemy. the new card dual system for Riku is pretty cool as well

I liked the collecting aspect of it as well. I hated having Riku's decks being premade though. That was the one thing that irritated me.

it was great for in between worlds and in castle oblivion floor, but the disney worlds had some pretty sucky decks, especially wonder land... that trickmaster was surprisingly tough to beat

That and Atlantica (for me at least). Never could stand those worlds with Riku's deck.

I liked the card battle system because it actually made you think during battle instead of button mashing like in KH2.

Same here, though at some point I just started mashing the triangle button. laugh.gif Then again, I did have to organize the deck first. In that light, there was math involved, too. (must get cards that add up to massive damage!!)

Then there was the organization of the deck for specific boss battles. The little "scheming" feeling behind that was enjoyable. (Vexen, eh? Ima gonna burn u wit lotsa fire cards!!1!)

Hm, I put "Some" as my answer, but now I'm thinking I should have put "Yes"... Though sometimes I enjoy violently button-mashing through battles in the most intense way possible.

When the original Chain of Memories was released I hated the card system with a passion because it was so hard. But now that I've conquered it, I love being able to edit how I do my attacks. It gives me a chance to make a strategy and I love to use critical thinking. I'm hoping in Birth by Sleep when you place your attacks in order, that it's kind of like Chain of Memories so I can learn how to make another strategy for that game too. smile.gif

I said "no". I guess it is challenging but I like just getting out their and fighting. I would get frustrated because I knew I could beat certain characters but the card system would limit me to what I could do. It was downright annoying.

No.
I really didn't gel with it at all. I could never get the hang of making good decks and it just didn't feel like Kingdom Hearts to me.

Yes.

I found it an intriguing new style to use for fighting. Was it perfect? No system is perfect. However, I liked it more than the button-mashing of KH1 and most of 2. It was bad enough I could close my eyes and button-mash through a fight in KH1 and still manage to win. With CoM, it was a bit more challenging, and I had fun manipulating the decks.

Eh. I guess it's okay. It got a little annoying sometimes, but I mostly had fun. I hated collecting the cards though. =_=

I voted some. I liked the idea of it, but it was frustrating when i either ran out of cards or could stop getting my cards blocked. Trickmaster is hard! I had to add a lot more magic to my deck. Besides that i haven't had any boss problems, yet...Like making my own deck though it's fun. I like saving up treasure room cards then using them al in one world...hate collecting cards though, but over all it's pretty good.

collecting regular cards ain't bad, its the enemy cards that are a bugger....

as for using all your treasure cards in one world, thats a bad idea unless you have everything already. you generally get less than 5 new cards or sleights in a world, and everything else becomes randomized cards. not the best way for deck building

I personally didn't care for it. Its just too much hassle getting the right cards that you need for your deck, especially for some bosses.

Don't get me wrong, I love CoM and all but I personally never wanna see a card system in a KH game ever again.

They do need a better fighting system than the one they put in I and II though-- like I said before, it's basic button mashing. I want something a little more challenging but still incorporates the free fighting style Kingdom Hearts has opposed to Final Fantasy's RPG format.

I actually liked the system, since it gave me more of a challenge. I had a lot more fun fighting the bosses in Re:CoM than usual kh games. It really makes you think in tight situations.

Well, beyond Sleights I button mashed, because I just had the ghighest level cards available, and then like 5 potions tongue.gif
I had to make specific decks for Parasite cage (GBA) The Heartless Battle (Monstro)(GBA) and Vexen.
But I can't really say I found it very strategic... more, 'Vexen? Lionheartlionheartlionheartfirefirefire!'
So I put 'some' because it never really got in the way for me.
