Pretty much post and discuss about whatever review you find or posted, I suppose.

Gametrailers review
RPG Gamer reviewed the Japanese version

Game Informer rated it an 8. But I don't have scans for that.
QUOTE
Game Informer gave the game an 8 out of 10, praising the graphics for excellent production values and the journey of the camera controls from the Playstation Analog Stick to the DS Shoulder Buttons.

Here's Gamespot's review. (8.0/10.0, "Great")

QUOTE
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is a compelling action role-playing game that successfully blends Disney elements with an original cast and an absorbing plot that will both intrigue and surprise you. The game's fun battle system is exceptionally fast-paced, while new customization options, thrilling boss fights and an entertaining multiplayer mode will further hook you. 358/2 Days offers an enjoyable, nostalgic experience that never lets its simplicity or its occasional quirks undermine its appeal.

I agree what Gametrailers said about the story, music, voice acting and graphics. But, no comment on gameplay. Haven't played it. And now I have no money!

The case wasn't that great. It was just the game logo and Roxas, in the same stance and position as the regular case, except that it blocks the rest of the box art. but i ordered from amazon and it only cost me a dollar extra to have it delivered today, so i don't mind

Well, the gameplay is fun and I'm really enjoying the story. I love the connection between Xion and Roxas. It's a great game.

However, it's all really pointless, we know where Roxas ends up. We know what happens at Castle Oblivion and to the Organization's plans. Plus, I'm tired of Nomura's infatuation of Roxas, he uses him all the time now, even a version of him in BBS. It's bull!!!

But it's still a good game!!! I give it 8/10!!!

Ok, I have a question. Is no one tired of traversing the same worlds at all? Because I took beef to that in KH Re CoM-enough to vow never to finish it (well, ok, the card system didn't fly with me, either).

I could see that likely being a problem for me, too. It has been in CoM, too. They could have AT LEAST redesigned them! I mean c'mon! >.> It's kind of lazy.

theres two sides to the issue... new layouts? or make it realistic without changing anything? i can't say which i prefer... it definitely makes exploration easier when you know your way around already

Aye, it makes exploration easier yes, but less entertaining. Although to be fair, I buy the next game in the series mostly for the Story progression than anything else, but it is becoming tedious.

I'd like some new Loactions in the Worlds, like inside the Palace in Agrabah for instance.
Although i'd prefer new Worlds entirely as long as they work right.. I hated Pride Lands in KH2, played pretty poorly and it was very grey and boring looking despite The Lion King being bright, colourfull and superbly animated.

What did you mean by make it realistic without changing anything? I interpret that as "If it looked different that wouldn't be realistic".. If so i'd like to remind you what game you are playing wink.gif.

i meant having the same layout as the original. agrabah's city looked A LOT different than it did in KH... it was a new place to explore, but cities don't change that much in a year. or halloween town's curly hill being moved to a different location. thats what i meant by realistic. in other words, i meant making it the same as it was.

I felt that the new/edited locations looked very well. Well.. Everything aside from the stary sky in Neverland.. That looks terrible, but I do like the new locations in Neverland.

One thing that really drives me crazy is that flying Heartless have the ability to fly outside of their own range, causing them to disappear. Oh my god, that makes me so mad. Also, bosses like the Emerald Serenade and the Ruler of the Sky were terrible. Chasing after them being able to hit them once an encounter just gets really old after a minute or two. And so much HP! Those battles just drag on for hours on end.

Aside from that, the only thing that I would have liked to see was some Wi-fi support, but I know how much work they put into it this game and how they filled the DS card capacity to the very limit, so I can do with out.

I'm going to give my two cents, even for a DS entry, I found it to be the weakest of all the KH games so far... boarderline suck even.
The Story could have been so much better, granted the ending was known from the get go but still.. more detail about the Keyblade could have been given for instance. Instead it focused on plot device Xion, to move Roxas' Story onto it's inevitably gloomy ending.
It failed to make me care about what was going on, and it suffered from the same problem as every single KH game, that it doesen't pick up the pace untill halfway through so you struggle to get anywhere with it.

Honestly "In loving memory of Wayne Alwine" in the Credits, inflicted more emotion onto me than the entire Game. It is good to play, and is every bit a KH game as any of the PS2 iterations, but it has the weakest Story of the lot imo.
EDIT: OK I thought about it, the Story isn't that bad.. it's ok but a depressing Story is not automaticaly a great Story, unless that's the desired effect? Which I doubt......

well, they said it was going to be tragic. nomura said it wouldn't be as tragic as crisis core, but it would still be tragic

You have no idea how much appreciate that they put that in the credits...I really do...more than anything that this game had put together. That simple sentence had a lot of weight in it...

Well, I just beat the game this morning, and here's my opinion on it:

Story- 8/10
I found it to be really well written. I'd go so far as to give it around the level of writing that KH:CoM (GBA version) had, but it certainly had more emotional impact on me than KH: CoM. They did a really good job of tying up the loose ends that this game made, unlike previous games. From Demyx's whining, Xigbar's "As if"s and odd sayings, Luxord's game metaphors, and Axel's multiple "Got it memorized," I really got a feel for the member's personalities. Sure, they may be the same as they were in KHII, but a little fleshing out never hurt. I found myself getting a little choked up at the ending, which is something I can really only say for one other game, and I already knew the ending of this game. It did start a little slow, but once it started picking up the pace, I found myself enjoying it quite a bit. The ending was really well done, and Roxas' line,
Spoiler
, may seem a bit cheesy, but when you think about what happened in the beginning, it has a lot of meaning. That's, for the most part, all I can say about the story without going too in depth.

Gameplay- 9/10
It was really enjoyable fighting Heartless and Nobodies this time around. They put up a good challenge, and your AI partners also kept up nicely, and actually HELPED this time around *coughkhiicough.* The Panel System is engaging, and even though I never really played around with it, whenever I got a large panel that couldn't fit, I'd find myself spending around five minutes resorting my set-up to get it to work. The controls, while a little strange at first, quickly became second nature to me. The actual combos you can pull off were pretty interesting, and I liked how they later combined various Gears' combo chains together in more advanced Gears. Yeah, it got a little stale when you got used to using the same Gear and kept doing the same combo, but that was remedied easily enough. Magic, while certainly being somewhat overpowered, I found to be handled properly this time around. The balance between enemies was, for the most part, very even, but you would occasionally run into the amazingly annoying/strong or pathetic/weak enemy that would make you think, "What the heck?" but those moments were few and far between. The overall mission style of playing levels in the game worked out pretty decently for me, at least.

Graphics- 9/10
Despite a few graphical glitches (lines across the top screen when things get REALLY hectic), they're beautiful. Vibrant colors, and certainly some areas were reincarnated very nicely from the previous games. Yeah, it got a little old constantly returning to "The Gray Area" every 20-30 minutes, but never to the point of irritation. The CGI cutscenes, while naturally having a small drop in quality, were VERY nice. Although, I did find it a little funny when they cut-off some of the subtitles during the cutscenes. Like, "Axel and I have been looking (all over) for you." "All over" was left out of the subtitles.

Sound- 8/10
The soundtrack, while mostly taken from the other games, was pretty good. The old songs sounded nice, even if they're starting to get a little stale. The new tracks, especially "Xion's Theme," the new "Dearly Beloved" remix, and the new Neverland tracks were all amazing. Of course, headphones certainly make them sound better than the DS speakers, but the quality is good, regardless. The voice acting was pretty good, though limited. I wish the characters during combat would say something other than grunts when they attacked, or those little lines before a Limit Break (although Zexion's, "You think you can be forgiven!?" is epic).

Extras- 9/10
Mission Mode, Challenge Missions, Holo-Missions, etc. Too many amazing features to even bother list. The only thing that's stopping this from being 10/10 is there's not Wi-Fi, but I can understand why, sort of.

Overall- 8.8/10
It's not quite a 9/10, but with a few minor tweaks, it easily could be. I'm going to be starting my second playthrough, going with "Proud" this time around. They really weren't kidding when they said that this was the hardest KH game out so far. I'll be sure to be racking up many more hours on this game before I'm done.

I've read through the stuff in here, so I guess I'm ready to give my two cents on this.
I found the game boring, tedious and like a chore. Every time I had to go on a mission it felt like "damnit, another mission". Towards the end of the game I found myself just speed running through everything just to get it over and done with, ignoring every extra that wasn't too obvious. Though I did manage to get Pandora Gear+, if that makes any change. And the multiplayer and all that extra stuff was just unnecessary and could've really been left out to make a better game.

While no doubt, the graphics in the game are good for its console, it did still feel too repetitive returning to all the worlds and maps again and having to sit through bullshit storylines about characters you never interact with just so they can extend your playtime. The CG cutscenes were nice, but poor compression just made some of them awful to watch.
Panel system was alright I guess, nice take on CoM's card system. However, the leveling thing was just retarded and it could've been left out. This was the first thing I reacted on when I leveled up and the first thing I complained about. I also found myself barely ever using synthesis or the Moogle shop at all because of how redundant it felt.

As for the storyline, I have to agree with FlipmodeMVP. I felt apathetic throughout, and shit never really got around to happening until the end of it. It just felt like a forced shoe-in to cash in on the franchise, and by the end of the game it just felt like everything you did didn't even matter. It's like playing Link's Awakening just to find out it was all a dream in the end.
If I had to give it a score, probably 6/10. Enjoyable for a bit, but to repetitive and boring.
That was longer than expected, but eh whatever. Everyday hatin' I guess.
Oh and did any Disney character have a spoken line anywhere in the game?
