Hey guys, the other day I just had this great thought about the Replica. I don't like to think of him as a heartless clone since he so obviously showed emotion and pain... So what about this: Vexen finds some random dude, wipes his heart, and creates for him a new body based on Riku's DNA, making his body into a biological clone, but working on something that had a real soul in the first place. Eh? What do you think?

I'm not completely proof-less either. It's up to interpretation. Marluxia did, after all, say that the Replica had his heart wiped, implying that there was something there before...

yeah, there where small memories, probably belonging to Riku, for this you should play birth by sleep. And also, your theory might be wrong seeing how on Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days spoke a little about the Riku replica. Apparently they are like empty bodies devoured of everything, they don`t even have a face. They make their face based on the memories they have, this also depends on who they are in front of (At least this is the case for Xion) As for the Riku Replica, he was already made, just that he had no personality whatsoever. This is proven when on one of the secret reports on Days Vexen said that he would take the other Replica that wasn`t even worthy of having a number (meaning it might have been undeveloped) and that it might be of use on Castle Oblivion. This is at least all I could remember as of right now, I might have left some other information...I cant remember if I did, but if I did, please feel free to give more info.

No, that would just make it an Emblem Heartless. When thinking about Replicas, also think about the citizens of DiZ's Simulated Twilight Town. They were based on real people and their Hearts, but were simply data that DiZ used to manipulate Roxas. In fact, one could say that the citizens from DiZ's Simulated Twilight Town are the perfect versions of Replicas.

That makes sense, Denizen, but don't the data copies of people just do whatever they're programmed? Replica Riku did his own thing, acted of his own willpower. That's what made me think he must be something more...

Organization-XIII, I haven't played 358/2 yet, but it sounds like your theory makes sense. Could you explain what they say on there about the Replica in more detail?
