So I'm getting to the end of Ven's story. This feature is a lengthy flashback in the keyblade graveyard. (Before you actually travel there).
Ven converse with MX. Suddenly Neo Shadows appear and ambush him! Ven is defeated That's the last we see them. Damn, so heartless exist before Ansem the Wise ever investigated them. My Japanese is shit so I can't hardly understand what MX is saying. This cutscene shows the origin of how Vanitas was created. MX opened Ven's heart the same way he did himself and literally extracted the darkness right of him and formed Vanitas.

Yeah. No clue to why though...maybe because of Vanitas? He is Ven's darkness or whatever. I still wonder why his outfit looks similar to Riku's.
Also, at the end, Ven and Vanitas battle at the Station of Awakening. Vanitas uses the worst looking Keyblade ever (it's kinda like two Kingdom Keys merged into one and then merged with a sword) The station itself has both of their images on it's surface sitting with closed eyes, similar to Sora's image in Roxas' awakening. There's also a scene where only Ven's image appears on the glass, I think after he defeats Vanitas, but I'm not too sure about that.

Riku's outfit looks like Vanitas, =P and though that's pedantic it makes a world of difference. If it's anything, it's because of Xehanort's influence, I think.
That blade you are speaking of, is what I believe is being referred to as the X Blade (pronounced CHI-Blade because of the greek letter) Xehanort's goal in this game. I'm not sure of the specifics, but I think Vanitas is gone for good.

Whatever, you know what I mean :P I guess that makes sense. At first I thought since Vanitas=Ven's darkness, Vanitas himself must have some connection to Riku. But if I assume that Xehanort himself played a part in how Vanitas looks, then that works.
So, Xehanort's goal is that blade...what's so special about it? If anything, Xehanort's own Keyblade is more interesting, since it can also unlock hearts.
I wonder what everyone thinks about the Xehanort anagram now though. You know, the "Another" and "No Heart" thing. I suppose for Terranort is means "another person who lacks his own heart" but I wonder if it has any meaning for Master Xehanort. He didn't turn into a Heartless, so he couldn't have a Nobody, right?
Another thing I wonder is...are Terra, Aqua and Ven weak or is just Xehanort friggin strong? He did beat them up pretty bad after all. Sora's group on the other hand didn't have too much trouble with any of their enemies. I suppose Xemnas and "Ansem" weren't real people, so they might have been weaker than a full person or Sora's just really good with the Keyblade.

Although it goes against Nomura's statement, this isn't a big surprise. Pureplood Heartless are the Darkness from within a Heart, so they naturally occur. It would be impossible for them to have not always existed. Emblem Heartless are Hearts that have been fed through Xehanorts machine and are trapped in a body of Darkness, so it makes sense for them to have not been around.
And I've actually been thinking of this for a bit. Vanitas is Ventus' Darkness that was extracted from Ventus' Heart by Master Xehanort. That would make Ventus %100 Light, but incomplete and Vanitas %100 Dark, but also incomplete. Although Darkness exists in all Hearts, minus the Seven Hearts of Pure Light, the humans of the KH Universe are all beings of the Realm of Light. Although Vanitas was made from a human, he can't be classified as a denizen of the Light because he is pure Darkness, therefore he is a human from the Realm of Darkness. This makes Vanitas like an anti-human, or the opposite of human life. The Unversed, or beings not very well versed into existence, are beings of Darkness also considered the opposite of human life and appear to be Vanitas creation. At this point I have to say that I only saw that Vanitas created Unversed from his own Darkness, but could not understand what he is saying, so I am only assuming that he is behind their Existence. My guess is that because Vanitas is 100% Dark, he can manipulate the Darkness to an unheard of degree and created the Unversed from it. As for a parallel to this kind of manipulation, it is seen in Kingdom Hearts when Kairi, a Princess of Heart, returned Sora from his Heartless. Because Kairi is pure of Heart/100% Light, she can manipulate the Light and used it to reestablish a Body of Light for Sora's Heart.
And I'm pretty sure that the X-Blade's existence and destruction is the reason behind Sora and Roxas being able to wield the 'same' Kingdom Key at the same time and also why they both can dual-wield.

So the secrety movie basically points everything to Sora huh. That's pretty neat. I'm sure there is a bright future for us gamers, I mean I'm sure Nomura will come up with something creative. And now Xigbars "you always looked at me with those eyes" sentance makes alot of sense. And is really cool actually.
I still want to know what Terra saw when he looked at Riku in destiny islands.

An omen, I betcha.
The same...dude thing Riku flashed into said this in another cutscene, "This world is too small." According to Heartstation. First line of the game according to them

An omen, I betcha.
Probably, yeah. It could be interpreted in a different way, like say Terra saw Xehanort's future in Riku, but then he saw that Riku is strong enough to be himself or something, which is why he saw the adult Riku in the end. But that would be too easy. Obviously Nomura showed that for a reason, so that scene will have some significance in the future.
I just hope Riku won't be taken over by Xehanort's Heartless again, because that would be lame. Then again, Nomura likes to reuse ideas...Still, I think the person we saw there is Xehanort after becoming whole again. Xemnas and his heartless were both defeated, so it's possible that somehow he's been reborn. The reason why he was shown through Riku could be because Riku would have become like that, if he had given into the darkness and Xehanort's Heartless.
Yeah, I'm just throwing out ideas here.

I get that Ventus linked his heart with Sora, causing Roxas to strikingly resemble Ventus.
I also get that Vanitas morphed into Sora due to the fact he was Ventus's Unbirth or Darkness or whatever you wish to call it, due to the fact he was techniquely a part of him and since his heart was linked to Sora it caused his appearance to morph.
And I get that Vanitas became a part of Riku, which made him look like darkness.
Basicly, I just have these 4 questions:
1. What exactly is the X Blade?
2. When Aqua defeated Ventus/Vanitas combined what happened to them?
3. Since Terra and Xehanort were inside of "Xehanort" (white haired dude we've all just come to love soooo much), when he split into Fake Ansem and Xemnas, did Xehanort and Terra release from human "Xehanort"?
4. How did Xehanort open Kingdom Hearts and why?
I just have these questions cuz I asked my friend when he got it..told me all this crap..made my brain feel like it was gonna explode..etc.
But ya, thanks for the answers.

4. How did Xehanort open Kingdom Hearts and why?
He opened Kingdom Hearts to retrieve the XBlade. Apparently the strongest keyblade known in the universe. But Vanitas retrieved it before him but was subsequently defeated by Aqua externally and Ven eternally. Now how he opened KH? Unless someone translate the dialog it's still unknown.
The X blade exploded and sent Ven and Aqua to outside space where Mickey rescue them and sent to Yensid. After which we see Aqua stuck in the Dark Realm. We don't know for sure how or when but I'm assuming it will be answered when we face the secret boss (no one is up to that point yet)

That aside, anyone else hopes the CoM team sticks around? Personally, from what I seen, I hope this game's battle system becomes permanent. It just feels...so balanced. It's insane.

I don't really think of him as a Gary Stu, personally, but yeah. It's quite fascinating that Nomura made most other characters in the series more interesting than Sora himself in the eyes of many. It just...blows my mind!

Hell yeah, they know exactly what they are doing in comparison to KH2 team. I had no doubts about them since my play of Re: CoM.
