Looks to be the same thing as the English release. If there will be even more additions remains to be seen, though I doubt there will be.
Despite the commotion this is causing, hell, I'd want to see more additions.

QUEEN/OLD HAG FIGHT (For the love of god, they botched this. Should have been in the original game. Should have been in the English release. But no. Aqua shouldn't have fought the same boss as Terra. I get a sneaking suspicion that, like Roxas in KH2, perhaps they didn't have time to add a boss fight.)
- Titans, man! Let's have boss battles with the two that haven't showed up!
- Aside from the obligatory extra weapons/abilities/palette swaps, I'd really like to see more Unversed. I put emphasis on that only because I felt like there could have been more. Then again, there's already plenty more than the Nobodies in KH2.
- Still needs more expository cutscenes for confusing plot points. For example,

This. The world count felt like it was lacking this time around. I'm not sure why, but it just felt empty. Another world would be nice to explore.

Yes! A giant tornado and lava-thing would be awesome to fight xD And the Cyclops too - nearly forgot about him. Heck, there should just be a Coliseum round with 6 matches, one for each of the Titans and then Hades at the end.

I always assumed the number of nobodies mirrored the number of Organization members (present in KH2 of course). I remember counting them and not including the Organization members that were killed in CoM, there's an equal amount of nobodies and Organization members.

I know it's probably not gonna have anything new. Just the word Final Mix makes me go to spazztastic rage. >_>
I think otherwise. Every Final Mix to date has had extra stuff added into it (on top of all the extra international content) just so Japanese players can feel like they're not getting ripped off. I'm not really expecting anything huge like another secret boss, or another world or anything like that (though it would be nice, and totally doable through say, downloadable content). What I am expecting though is either an extended Blank Points ending (dunno what they would add), or an entirely new, additional secret ending. Additional secret endings seem to be the main reason Final Mix games are released in the first place.
I've said it before a while back, but UMD space really isn't an issue when they can just make additional content downloadable. It would work the same as the install data, where flags in the game's coding would tell the game when to pull the data from the memory stick. And adding little segments of code would take up little-to-no space on the UMD.
Maybe something will be announced at or alongside of TGS as far as additional content in BbS:FM - if there is any at all that is.

In 3 months, which would usually consist of re-localizing, marketing and all sorts of business? I doubt it. The months before it involved them relipsyncing, putting English voices, the Secret Boss, etc. And for the downloadable content, somehow, I doubt they even know about the PSP's capabilities of the game-wise. On top of that, what are the chances of them doing that? Especially for this game? Extremely slim. And when was the last time they even tried downloadable content?
Why can't these people just make a complete game with all their ideas and stuff while they develop the game instead of after 5 seconds after the game comes out they go "OH WE CAN ADD THIS!"?! Don't answer that.
But, yeah...too soon to go ranting (though it seems I've covered that), we know too little. We'll find out in a couple of days...

Lol, rant all you want xD I know you don't like Final Mix, nothing wrong with that.
To answer your question that you don't want answered: it's all about money *shrug* releasing a game and re-releasing said game with extra content will net them more money than releasing everything all at once.
I'm not saying they will use downloadable content, I'm just saying it's a very logical choice for the matter. Whether they choose to explore that or not is up in the air... you're probably right though in the fact that they're probably not aware of what they can do with the PSP. I think Nomura even stated that when first starting BBS, they weren't really sure what they could do and what they couldn't do.
I'm confused though why you referred to re-localizing and what not. All the Final Mixes are in English (I forget if you can choose Japanese or not), and anything extra they add never has voices included. Take the completed international version, add some scenes with subtitles only, maybe a couple new maps, new keyblades, new secret boss and a new ending - all that can be done in three months. That's pretty minimal really. And in all honesty, it wouldn't surprise me if they had created extra content for Final Mix (if there's any) alongside of developing the main game - and just choose what to leave out, then include that stuff in the re-release.
Now, I'm not saying that's how they do things or approach their games, but as a programmer/designer, that's the approach I would take. Anyway, just a friendly debate, and everything is pure speculation regardless ^^ I think it's clear that I love Final Mix releases, which to me makes for a very interesting conversation with you since you're the complete opposite xD

As of right now, I don't know what other secret ending they could add because the current one was amazing.
And I agree with Ryu's stance on the matter. But in terms of a FM, I'll only end up reading up on it.

Dammit, Kieren, that was a rhetorical question! XD
It's still a ridiculous tactic. ESPECIALLY when only one country out of all others gets it. This whole Japanese-only thing is just pure nepotism. If they really wanted money, they would have released it on all countries. I doubt they know this, but the MGS extended editions are like the Final Mix games. And those sell just as much as the original games.
When I mean re-localizating, I mean in Japan. The text is all in English. They have to change it all back to be Japanese, and all that other politics that go with it. If I recall, the Universal Tuning Dissidia came just about the same amount of time as BBS FM, and that one was only the American release, which is why I doubt for any additions. You'd think that 3 months would be enough would be enough for all that, but you overestimate their ability to churn things out. This is a 20 hour game that took them 3 years to make. See making those things take time. For cutscenes, they have to story board and animate them all (and if they're bringing in Japanese voices those take scheduling). And coming up with designs for new keyblades and even making new maps (assuming you mean ENTIRE worlds and not just one or two new rooms...but those still) take time. And if they make new music, it'll take even more time. And considering their effort in making a secret movie for Re:coded, I doubt they'll make an extended secret ending on this. The most I would think they'd add is an option for Japanese voices in Theater Mode and that'd be it.
Well let's take a look at KH1's timetable.
Released in Japan in March, international in September and Final Mix in December.
Really, that's not much different than BbS.
January in Japan, September international, and Final Mix some time in the winter.
There's still a three (or more) month span between the English release and the Final Mix, giving them the same amount of time they had for KH1FM. They very well could add more content.
And it wouldn't surprise me if they did (not saying I'm necessarily expecting it).
My guess is that they could have a planned obsolescence going- that they've been working on additions in general since the original release in January, but have chosen to only put so many in the English release. And then they put the rest into the Final Mix.
That is, they intentionally hold content back to make each release inferior to the next.
If they plan on adding even more content to Final Mix, there's not a doubt in my mind that they have been working on it prior to September.

They lose track of her, she runs by Aqua and curious to see what's going on, she follows the hag. Aqua gets to the cliff, the hag spots her, notices that she's wearing the same symbol as Terra and figures their in cahoots, so she attacks. Cue boss fight. Defeat her. Cue cutscene. Old hag tries to roll rock down cliff, gets truck by lightning, falls off and dies, just like in the movie. Aqua goes off to find the dwarves. It then cuts to where it opens in the original release, with them gathered around Snow White mourning.
Really, that wouldn't contradict anything.

That's what I was trying to get at, but couldn't really word it right. But yeah, I agree - I figure they would have just developed everything from the start, and intentionally left out material to add in as "bonus" content for the international and Final Mix releases, respectively.

The whole lightning/falling off the cliff would have been an epic cutscene. I would have it play out after the original cutscene though. Aqua arrives to find the dwarves around Snow White and she learns of how the events came to be, then she goes off to fight the old hag, and then the prince comes to wake up Snow White. If I recall correctly in the movie, several seasons pass from the time the dwarves put Snow White in the glass case to when the prince actually shows up. Not that several seasons need to pass in this case, but it would seemingly fill in that gap. Either way could work I guess and it still wouldn't mess with the [Disney] story significantly.

Ahh, got it. I've only read through the Xehanort Reports once, and that was when the Japanese version came out and they were translated. I haven't bothered to go back over them again.

Reading back over them, Report VII to be specific, perhaps the KH he summons is a forced summoning? "Unlike the Kingdoms brought about forcibly and artificially through the collection of hearts, THIS Kingdom Hearts is a perfect and complete union of ALL the worlds' hearts." I'm not sure if he had really collected any or enough hearts to do it, but that's the only thing I can think of as the X-blade wasn't forged yet.

* The new scenes in the “Secret Episode” will reveal mysteries of the series.
* Birth by Sleep Final Mix teaser website released.

Uggh. Dammit. Why so soon? I barely have time to play the version I got, haven't even finished the first story yet. But if there are new bosses I'm gonna have to get this.

What makes it even worse, this is announced as soon as the American version comes out. Nepotistic pricks...
Well if anything good can come out of it its gotta be another revealing secret ending, possible maybe connecting the game up more to the future of the series, but again Nomura might not see much point in doing that =/
Hey, new content is new content, whether you're watching it on YouTube or playing it. I'd rather have it all in one game rather than multiple re-releases, true, but I'd also rather see it in a Final Mix than not see it at all.
Still, people complained about the DLC price hike for Modern Warfare 2. I don't think they would if they knew about the Final Mixes- paying twice for essentially the same game.
Anyway, the only way I'll be getting this is if the extra content was somewhere near the level of KH2FM (lawl Re:Days- though not like that would happen).
Chances of that are slim to none, so I'll pretty much be YouTubing it.

Pfft, I called it on almost all accounts... the only thing I left out was getting new race maps, which is boring. Pete is already a D-Link character, so that's not new - for us anyway.
