Since I do believe part of Aqua's time in the darkness dealt with him. Unquestionably it'll be about Aqua! I hope it doesn't have anything to do with Riku, though. I'm sort of put out on the idea that any of the original 3 (sora/kairi/riku) meet with Aqua/Terra/Ven again until Sora puts them back together.. idk why

I'm hoping that the game will focus on King Mickey and the nine years before KH1, during the research of Xehanort and the other apprentices, and showcase the destruction of the worlds, as well as the creation of End of the World, the creation of Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, and the founding of the Organization.

Or how Ansem the Wise got overthrown and what he had to go through to plan his revenge against Xehanort. Though it would be nice to see all of these, they are not enough substance to fill out a new title.

None of these has to evolve into games on their own, though. You can reveal plenty in cutscenes and in "cutscene movies" and in secret movies all tied into the game. Most of these events, though tied with Sora, aren't even Sora's story, nor the stories of our 3 heroes in BBS. It'd be fine enough for us to digest these eclectic bits of information in Dream Drop Distance, so we don't need to dedicate a whole other game to it. It's a waste of our time and patience.
In my opinion, KHII was a bit wasted because it was so mission-based: you travel to worlds and solve problems in each world; sometimes you encounter the Organization members in world and if you do, you listen to them talk trash, then you beat them. There was nothing new about the heartless-we're already aware of how they inflict innocent people. KHII could have been an engine to giving us a more in-depth look since it was sort of lacking in that department. For instance, there was a secret ending to Re:Coded-I argue that such a revelation could easily have fit right into the scheme of KHII. If there's more to Aqua's tale, that could have been released as part of BBS as a second UMD or simply unlocked after we finish the 3 main campaigns. Hell, Nomura could have ramped up the production quality of BBS and put it on the PS3, so that any additional campaigns could be downloaded as a DLC.
How about another radical idea? Don't spend so much time developing Vol 2 as a separate game. Package it lightly, make it a small campaign, and let retailers know that anyone who shows up with a BBS UPC gets Vol 2 for $10.

Absolute rubbish. There hasn't been a Kingdom Hearts: Deep Dive, Kingdom Hearts: Another Side,Another Story, reconnect: Kingdom Hearts, etc...
Birth by Sleep Vol. II has never been confirmed to be anything, it could just as easily be a part of 3d much like reverse rebirth was with Chain of Memories.

Of course, it also doesn't have to be named "Birth by Sleep volume II" even if it is a direct sequel to BbS.
And I can see the mystery game being something entirely different. As you suggested, what's depicted in the BbSFM secret episode could very well end up being in DDD. Already, we have a scene of what appears to be the apprentices during their experimentation with darkness in DDD. If the mystery game really was one that took place between BbS and KH1, you'd figure that would be its territory. And considering that DDD is to deal with the Realm of Sleep, to label it as a "Birth by Sleep volume II" would make sense. We have a chance of seeing those who are asleep, including Terra, Aqua and Ven (though saving them has been confirmed to be the issue for KH3).

Those weren't the used titles but yeah, each of those was made into a game. Each secret ending has always hinted at the next game to come especially the secret endings in the final mix versions. And besides, what do you think they meant by Volume 2? Obviously it means they want to continue the story from BBS and it was probably heavily hinted at in Blank Points and Zero Points.

KH3D leads right into KH3, like days runs into KH2. KH BBS2 may be part of DDD or it will happen on the Vita after KH3.
