That sentence hurt my brain, i'm suing you!
And, I don't think you can patch a PS2/PSP game like you can a regular PC game, never owned a PSP though. As far as patches go, i've only ever heard of them for games on Xbox360/PlayStation3/MMO's.

You can actually patch pretty much any piece of software Castille, PS games are no exception.
The problem with a PSP game though Kevin_Keyblade, is that not only will you need to download the patch and associated software to apply it to a .iso of the PSP game (which you'll need to extract from a retail version of Birth by Sleep Final Mix or find somewhere to download (which we do not encourage here at KHU)), you'll also need to have to run a PSP with custom firmware, because the official Sony firmware will not allow you to play a game straight from the PSP memory card outside of their official supported software downloads.
If you're not already running custom firmware on your PSP, it'll take you a fair amount of effort (may be impossible depending on what version of the official PSP firmware you're running on) just to apply an English patch to the game.

Yep, there's even a full translation patch for KH2 FM, which is pretty awesome. Generally you just apply a patch to the .iso/.bin the same way you would to an installed PC game on your computer. Just run the patcher and select the file you want patched. It's that easy.
It's as Kupo Mog says, getting the patched game to run on your system is the tricky part.
