I guess I'll start off? I guess I'll just point out some little things.
Anyway, Billy Zane was an amazing Ansem. Not that Richard Epcar isn't good but man! Billy Zane was incredible. I could probably gush about it all day.
I had my doubts about Brittany Snow and Jesse McCartney playing Namine and Roxas but boy was I greatly mistaken. They did great jobs. Especially Jess McCartney. I found it cool how he somehow made Ventus sound different than Roxas but you can still tell it's him.

Willa Holland? I had no idea who she was when I first heard her name and now I can't imagine anyone else as Aqua. Quinton Flynn as Axel...I just...I love you Quinton Flynn *_* Well all of Organization 13 had a great cast.

So far, the only one I'm unsure about (and that's because of the small role) is Aerith. I can't really decide who did her voice "better."

All in all, KH picked out some fantastic voice actors.

Well, here are my thoughts. Most of the series voice actors have been consistently good, Sora, Riku, Kairi, most of the Organization XIII, etc. Though, I have to say...Jason Dohring and Willa Holland were both very bland and their voices aren't really meant for VAing (and they could have trained them for it), though Holland actually felt like she tried. Dohring did ok during the ending and whenever he shouts, but emotional scenes are his worst enemy. Keith Ferguson could have done a lot better as Marluxia.

I also think it's a bad idea for Ven and Vanitas to get the same VAs (because it ruins the twist), but at the same time, HJO and Jesse McCartney didn't do all that bad. Especially HJO. Holy Snakes, where has he been hiding that one!?

But, yes...god dammit, I wish Billy Zane was still Ansem. I don't mind Richard Epcar, anymore though.

Bret Iwan is not a bad Mickey, but I still think he needs some improvement in the acting department. Phil Snyder's Jiminy, too. They both need practice. But, they're suitable successors.

I wish they'd change the voice directing team, though. I don't think they bring the most of the actors. Some actors only get away with it because they're experienced with their characters, they've been acting for decades, or they just found a lucky fit. The final products are usually pretty good, but not as good as it should be.

But, yeah...with that said...I'm pulling for Earl Boen for being the new Frollo. >.>;

There's a rumor going around that Frollo is going to be voiced by Jim Cummings in KH3D. ...I don't see it. >>; I mean I love the guy, but his voice doesn't sound like he can sound effortlessly authoritative.

...wow. Miyu Irino doesn't sound much different in KH1 than he does now. It's like Japan always had the KH2 voice, it's a bit higher in KH1, but it doesn't sound like a kid. He did sound like a kid in Spirited Away though, so I guess the guy went through puberty before KH1. Whilst Osment went through puberty afterwards. Heh. Kinda makes me feel sorry for him. He'll always get picked on for sounding 'too old' for 14 year old Sora, but in Japan...he always sounded like a teenager.

I hope we actually get a professional voice actor for once. :| Yuri Lowenthal, Sam Riegel, Liam O'Brien, Michael Sinterniklaas, Richard Cansino...any of those guys. Heck, I'd take even Johnny Yong Bosch. But, if they absolutely have to get a screen actor/celeb, Zachary Quinto would be good. He's done some audio books and did some voice acting in it, so we won't be getting another Jason Dohring (ugh...). ...but I'd prefer a voice actor.

Yeah, of all Birth by Sleep I didn't care for Dohring as Terra. That's been the one major disappointment I've had for the entire series.

Aw. I think Birth by Sleep gets entirely too much flack for its voice acting. It has ever since day one when people began to bitch about Leonard Nimoy sounding too gravel-y. And poor Aqua (who I still insist has one of the best voices in the games.) Terra's voice, though, does have its points where it just sounds too wooden. I think this gets better and by the end of the game he sounds much better. Some people say he sounds too young, but I think that helps get across the point that Terra isn't your typical beefy man.

*WARNING UNNECESSARY GEEK RANT*

Let me just say I have no qualms about their voices. They're good fits for the characters. But, that's just it. These are just good voices, but they didn't prime their voices enough to act convincingly in this production.

Holland was ok, but I can't help but picture a gal behind a mic trying to be Aqua instead of Aqua. She just isn't very interesting to listen to. Dohring however...When he's around characters who have been voiced in the field for at least a decade...it...just sticks out. Sure, the man can yell, but he can't portray his angst, his sincerity, or any emotional moments he goes through. It ends up hurting the story by a LOT, and I keep being taken out of the story because I get so frustrated by him. By the end, he gets comfortable emoting through speaking and emoting, but it wasn't enough to save his performance.

They just need to stop getting celebs/screen actors with no voice acting experience if they're not going to prime them for it. They got lucky with Haley Joel Osment, David Gallagher, Hayden Pannettiere, Brittany Snow, Jesse McCartney, Billy Zane, Christopher Lee and Leonard Nimoy (I'm not counting Mark Hamill because he is in fact a voice actor, a phenomenal one at that). Not to say, pro VAs don't make bland performances (see Keith Ferguson...unfortunately) mind you, but they have a better chance of getting the character. Especially when the voice directing team won't stop you from being....yeah. :|

Makes me wish Jack Fletcher's team were on KH...:/

From what I hear, almost definitely not.
Apparently there's some other guy who voices Kevin in other material, like Tron: Evolution (too lazy to look his name up). Sounds pretty good but, in the words of the Dude, no Jeff Bridges... that's a bummer, man.

I'm practically a Jeff Bridges junkie so I thought I was going to be unsatisfied with whoever did his voice. That Fred Tatascoire though...wow. Just wow. His impersonation was freaking amazing. So spot on!
