I can’t believe I sat here watching this for the first twenty minutes before I realized this video was an hour long. Ain’t nobody got time for that!

  2. Kovell Says:

Other than that, thanks for filling in some gaps in the plot.

  3. Brady Says:

I had time for it, and I loved it

  4. AliCem Erdoğan Says:

Though I enjoyed it, I honestly felt a bit disappointed. The Zelda timeline did a great job of giving perspective on the series within the context of the real world in regards to the fandom and the response. The Kingdom Hearts Timeline treated the whole canon as if it were A.) planned from the start and B.) existed in a vacuum.

I would have loved to hear about the original release in Japan, the North American release, and then how that led to a fan response that prompted them to create Final Mix, adding in extra elements, such as the three extra Ansem reports and the Deep Dive video. It could explain what specific plot elements these extras were meant to tease, and how the ideas evolved over time. (e.g. the fight atop Nothing’s Skyscraper, Roxas’s identity, and the countdown from XIII). Same for Kingdom Hearts II and its Final Mix.

I feel that the whole video took a superficial look at the series and had many redundancies, when it could have made ample use of those 50 minutes by not only explaining the lore but the communities’ involvement, the voice casting, and the creative development of the series as a whole. Kingdom Hearts is and always has been a work in progress, and that’s something I wish this episode of Timeline reflected more. It certainly had moments – from discussing the impact Final Fantasy Vs. XIII had on the series to quotes from Nomura hinting at the series’ future, but I definitely wanted more.

That said, it was really nice to take a walk down memory lane, and I’ll certainly still be sharing this video with friends to give them an introduction to the series I’ve been telling them about for years.

Damn man, now some of the holes I was thinking about for years were finally filled thank you!

If I know that soundtrack, Assassin’s Creed?

  8. Darrin Tyler Says:

This is not the timeline. The Timeline Starts with Birth By Sleep Final Mix. We all know this. Not sure why the video starts with the other….This is the opposite of the timeline.

  9. Wes Says:

It was ordered by release date. Then later in the video, it went back and explained what the series’ chronological order was. The Zelda timeline video was structured the same way.

  10. セフィロス Says:

It was actually a really well put together timeline. Though… it seems like it was lacking something, but I can’t place my finger on it.

  11. Matheus Says:

    Better yet, Metal Gear.
