Introduction:
Agrabah in Kingdom Hearts was one of the worlds that actually stayed true to the plotline of movie it was based on. This time around the storyline is like Aladdin's sequel; The Return of Jafar.
Summary:
During Sora & Co's first trip to Agrabah, Goofy sees Iago. Iago says he wants to make right with everybody including Aladdin and Jasmine. But when Sora takes Iago to the palace to apologize, they found out from Jasmine that Aladdin has not been himself lately and is not in the Palace. Iago graciously says he will find out for Jasmine what's going on with Aladdin. But Jasmine is still bitter to Iago and runs off to tell the guards.
Sora leaves the palace and sees Abu running with Aladdin and a Peddler following him. It turns out that Abu had stolen a lamp from the Peddler, and Aladdin gives it back. Abu seems to be saying something about the lamp he stole, and Iago tells them that it's Jafar's lamp. Sora and co. go to the Peddler and ask if they can buy it, but the Peddler says that he will give it to them if they give him a treasure fit for a Sultan. Donald suggests going to the palace but Aladdin doesn't want to worry Jasmine or the Sultan. Iago suggests going into the Cave of Wonders.
They go to the cave and get through all the traps, and finally find a treasure that the peddler will like. But when they get back they find Pete trying to steal the lamp to make Jafar into a Heartless. Can Sora, Aladdin, and co. defeat the Heartless Pete summoned and win back Jafar's Lamp?
Later in the game, Sora & Co. return to Agrabah to find that Jafar has returned and Iago knows where he is. After flying around chasing Jafar's shadow and activating switches, they get into the Ruined Chamber where Iago said Jafar is. But Jafar isn't there. Iago says Jafar forced him to lead Sora and co. away from the Palace so he could take over. Iago accidentally activates a trap which leads to the ruins collapse.
Sora flees the ruins and they all hurry to the palace and see Jafar has Jasmine chained to the gate. Jafar tries to zap Aladdin, but Iago moves in front of Aladdin, taking the blow instead. Jafar changes into his Genie form and starts to destroy Agrabah.
Can Sora defeat Jafar and save Agrabah? And what will happen to Iago?
